The Story

What's on her mind? What is she thinking?
She's staring at the picture on my wall without blinking
Well, nervous I was, to take her home
She was much older than the girls with whom boys my age roamed

I met her on the park bench, she'd hear the birds chime
I was drawn to her eyes, I saw a wound that wasn't healed by time
She sat there alone, uncared for, amid the throng of human beings who passed her by
Nor heeded the glance of her anxious eye

I asked her for coffee, she exclaimed " Why me, young lad!
You'd get a fine date, you don't look that bad."
I laughed and said, " Cos you pretty lady, have a story to say
And this young lad here has nothing to do all day."

She smiled and over coffee, confessed
A man she loved truly had got her life messed
A decade back, her heart he had won
Her friend found out, he was the father of a son.

And that's how our story started,
Since that coffee date, we never parted.
I brought her home to my family, to make them meet
My father was a friendly man and mother was sweet

But when she saw that family picture, she would not walk
I could see her hands trembling with shock
Running away, she said, " I cannot meet your dad."
That moment I knew, the man who had betrayed her was the father of this young lad!

Apathy towards Economics!

Here I am so bored in class
I wonder what to do to make time pass

The subject is called managerial economics
I cannot comprehend the teachers phonetics
There she's talking of demand and supply
Here I'm thinking where this silly theory I'm going to apply?
She talks about economic inflation
I feel myself sink into depression
Apparently division of labour was advocated by Adam Smith
To me it comes across as a non existent myth
So many monotonous theories,
The portion itself makes me worry
How I wish I could take a break
Even if a headache I have to fake!

You & Me

When I see you my heart sets a record pace.
In a throng of people, all I can see is your face.
Your every move makes me sigh
And when you speak to me, I feel like I'm flying high.
Your dark black eyes so mesmerising and deep,
Even a moment away from you makes me weep.
I try to speak but words I cannot find,
To the world I may appear to be out of my mind.
And when you walk, oh my your gait!
I feel you stepping into my hearts gate.
Far far away, I think we should flee,
To a place where it's just You and Me....

The Starry Night

The night so pretty, the sky full of stars 
So clearly seen but to touch so far 
The rains have washed away the haze 
Painted a picture so clean, I stand and gaze
Amazed at the powers of nature to change 
The face of a city and its affairs, derange 
Just when the town, of a flooding feared 
This still pretty night has all doubts cleared 
Tomorrow will be a bright and sunny day 
I'm sure of spotting a rainbow on my way :-) 

Just Once.....

Your words so sharp, my heart they pierce
They echo in my head and bring a thousand tears
My arms plea for one big hug
Just to look at you makes me shrug
All your promises were made of glass
Each one you broke into many shards
Each piece of this glass has wounded my heart
It bleeds now like someone's shooting darts
I can't say anything, but my eyes speak
Can't you read, why is ur vision so bleak
Or are u just ignoring what I hinted
Your love, your care seems so tainted
Just look into your heart once and decide
You'll know if you still need me by your side! 

Pleasant Moments...

The sanctity of that road
The swift movement the sun showed
Like a halo it was dispersing light
Beyond the horizon, I could see it bright
The mellow lighting of that setting day
The enigma beyond those winding country ways
The lush fields with pretty purple flowers
Strolling hand in hand, I spotted 2 naive lovers
A young woman awaiting the mail van
Longing for a love letter from her man
Oh what purity, what innocence around!
No rush, no pollutants, just nature's sounds
I wished at that moment time would have paused
Just for me to live in the pleasant happiness it caused...

HAPPY WOMENS DAY

If she smiles she can light up every moment

If you don't value her she can give you silent torment

When you are feeling low and lost

She'll show you the path at any cost

She loves you like a selfless angel

Every knot in your life she can untangle

So love her, respect her, protect her and salute her today.

The tension showing on ur brow
How do we get out of here where do we go
We're on the outskirts of town and out of luck
U brought us here but now we are stuck
We both have at home a deadline

Dark clouds threaten that its going to start pouring
The raindrops get heavier and the wind menacing
Its scary, there seems no way we can get back
Sigh! in the distance you spot a shack
Let's leave our worries cos there's no way out
Let's let down our inhibitons and hold no doubts
There's wind there's fire there's lightning there's thunder
Come to me sweetheart, let's make a night to remember

Heart burn

What is it? Why don't you look at me?
Why don't you want to talk to me? 
Where is that warmth? Has it disappeared?
Why have you become something I never feared?
Why don't you everything with me share?
Where is the attraction, affection, care?
Why has the flame in your eyes dwindled?
Why do all your emotions seem strangled?

Why does everything appear artificial?

Why has our love remained only partial?

I'm wondering how to get you back from where you have strayed!

It seems so murky, I'm losing hope I'm afraid!
